Knowledge Transfer Achieved: Burkina Faso National Laboratory Delegation Completes Technical Training Program

2025-07-21

We were honored in May this year to host a distinguished delegation from the Burkina Faso National Laboratory for an intensive, approximately two-week product training program. This significant visit underscores our company’s growing international reach and commitment to sharing advanced technological expertise within the global scientific community.

The visiting specialists engaged in a comprehensive training curriculum focused on mastering the operation and application of several sophisticated pieces of advanced geotechnical and asphalt materials testing instrumentation. Throughout the program, hands-on sessions formed the core of the experience, allowing the participants to gain in-depth familiarity with critical equipment essential for modern infrastructure development and  asphalt materials science. Key instruments covered included the Falling Weight Deflectometer for pavement strength assessment, the robust Soil Investigation Machine (SPT-LC drill) for subsurface analysis, the versatile Automatic Triaxial Testing System for determining soil shear strength, the precise Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR) for characterizing material viscoelastic properties, and the essential Automatic Vicat Needle Apparatus for cement setting time determination.

Our dedicated technical team provided thorough instruction, emphasizing practical application and troubleshooting. The Burkina Faso National Laboratory personnel demonstrated exceptional dedication throughout the rigorous training schedule. They expressed considerable appreciation for the precision engineering, user-friendly interfaces, and robust capabilities of our equipment suite, noting its direct relevance to their vital work in supporting national development and research initiatives back home. Their positive feedback on the reliability and advanced features of the instruments was particularly gratifying.

Beyond the technical exchange, we were delighted to fully host our esteemed guests throughout their stay. We ensured their visit was comfortable and productive, providing comprehensive logistical support including accommodation and meals, fostering a welcoming environment conducive to both learning and cultural exchange. This commitment to hospitality reflects our values of partnership and mutual respect.

The successful conclusion of this training program was marked by a warm gathering where both our staff and the visiting delegation came together for a group photograph, capturing the spirit of collaboration and the new connections forged. This visit represents more than just knowledge transfer; it signifies a strengthening of international scientific ties and positions our company as a trusted partner for leading national institutions worldwide. We are confident the expertise gained will significantly benefit the Burkina Faso National Laboratory's important mission, and we look forward to potential future collaborations and continued support.
